Members work to build authentic kit, skills, and camp life together — leatherwork, woodworking, blacksmithing, and the longhalls we call home.
A growing brotherhood of Lags across the Americas and the wider Viking community, honing our craft, our skills, and our bonds with each other.
Utland Storm is one of the five Storms of Jomsborg — a worldwide organization of modern Vikings more than a thousand strong. Utland, meaning "the outer lands," has oathsworn and prospect Lags spanning the United States, Colombia, Chile, and beyond.
Built under the founding leadership of Dave Kilbourn, the Storm now enters a new chapter under Storm Commander Raymond Rowe of Locheirelag, carrying Utland's motto and mission forward: to grow the Viking community, lift every Lag within it, and prove that rising tides raise all ships.
Raymond Rowe leads Locheirelag — the Lake Erie Vikings — and is taking the helm of Utland Storm as its new Storm Commander. Under his watch, Locheirelag raised a longhall at Rowesborg, built Farm Wars into the largest living history Viking event in the Americas, and set the tone for Utland's next chapter: rising tides raise all ships.

Utland Storm's oathsworn and prospect Lags across the Americas, plus the rest of Jomsborg's worldwide Storms — East, North, South, and West.
Locheirelag — the Lake Erie Vikings — is the newest oathsworn Lag in Utland Storm, instantly recognizable by the gold hoods its members wear both on and off the battlefield. Training weekly in Northeast Ohio, focusing primarily on unarmored combat alongside Danish/Western, Eastern, and Huscarl styles. In 2024, the Lag came together to cultivate the land and raise a longhall — a gathering place for Vikings from across the world. Hosts Farm Wars, the largest living history Viking event in the Americas.
